Emerging from the haze battled on their Drug Phase EP, Bad Luck. gears up to return to that headspace with an acoustic arsenal. On Friends (Again), a brisk acoustic answer to pop-punk firepower gains mournful Rhodes on "Gwendolyn," "Sorry About Your Cardinals Jim," a dark holiday standard, and even a full-bodied shoutalong on "Untitled." While the demons exorcised on their previous outing haven't fully been squashed, casting them in a new, more contemplative light allows for another valiant counterattack.
